MIFTAAH PRESENTS an evening of music, dance, poetry and food celebrating Palestinian resistance and culture
Come from 3pm to enjoy markets run by local ceramicists, painters, jewellery makers, mehndi/henna artists, suitcase rummage enthusiasts and MORE
As we venture into the evening soak up poetry, live sets, dabke and djs by our entrancing musicians and performers taking you through traditional Palestinian sounds to dreamlike folk beats & radical punk rap
90% of event proceeds will go towards our friends in Palestine, Dina, Mohammad, Nadia and Rawan to help them evacuate from the bombing and destruction occurring in their homelands, and to help rebuild their lives.
5% of event proceeds will go to Pay the Rent and 5% to Black Peoples Union, organisations that work for the liberation of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people from the harms of ongoing colonial projects.
