Event description

Many birds make the great journey from Canada, all the way to the shores of Florida. From small birds, like palm warblers to big birds, like white pelicans, they both share a common goal and obstacles to get to warmer temperatures. Come explore the adaptions and obstacles faced by migratory birds. Build a flock with your friends, learn about native animal’s torpor cycles and more as we play games and experiment!

Homeschool Science Club explores scientific and natural concepts through games, crafts, and activities encouraging students to be active outdoors. Guardians are responsible for identifying the learning maturity of their child. Please note the location of this session. Large Pavilion #1. Reservations Required. Program recommended for students ages 7-13. For more information or to book a private homeschool program, please contact sara.alvarezcollazo@mymanatee.org or (941)742-5923 ext. 6044.
