Mighty Playwrights is an annual program, working in collaboration with the region's primary schools to bring the joy of storytelling and the performing arts to the next generation of young people.

Six young writers, aged 10-12 years, and nominated by their schools, worked tirelessly in the Library to develop and write short stage plays. Through mentor relationships with professional writers, actors, and musicians, our Mighty Playwrights have created some amazing stories, about issues that are important to them, in their own words and with their own individual style.

Goulburn's Lieder Theatre Company has taken the completed play scripts and turned them into magical full-scale stage productions, complete with original music by the Hume Conservatorium's Mighty Tunesmiths, and original artworks by Goulburn Regional Art Gallery's afternoon art club.
