Event description

Join us for this FREE event! (Online Session available)

Migraine is a neurological condition that affects 1 in 7 people globally, and roughly 753,000 people in New Zealand live with this debilitating condition. Even with its widespread effect, migraine disease remains underdiagnosed and undertreated across Aotearoa.

Join us for a two-part event as we unravel the mysteries of migraine. Our first session will feature world-renowned Australian neuroscientist Professor Peter Goadsby, who will share what research reveals about the nature of migraine disease. Joining him is Professor Debbie Hay, a highly-cited researcher from the University of Otago, who will discuss the new wave of migraine medications.

Dr Calvin Chan, a neurologist and headache specialist, will lead a session on migraine management in New Zealand, to close the event. This will cover treatment, patient care, and challenges for healthcare providers in delivering effective care nationwide.

Don't miss this opportunity to hear from leading experts and discover new approaches to managing this debilitating condition.

This event is organised in partnership with the Neurological Foundation of New Zealand
