Description

Fresh off the release of his latest album, Lucky Man, Mike Stack arrives on May 23 with the momentum of a career built on great songs, road-tested performances, and a deep love of roots music.

Born in Nova Scotia and shaped by decades in Canada’s folk, roots, and alt-country scenes, Mike first made his mark with The Burners before leading the high-energy, Tex-Mex-infused band The Grift through nearly a decade on Western Canada’s club and festival circuit. His solo albums I Need Wheels and 98 Years earned critical acclaim and international airplay, while appearances at venues and festivals including the Calgary Folk Music Festival, Northern Lights Folk Club, and South Country Fair—and opening slots for artists like Corb Lund, Ray Bonneville, Stephen Fearing, and Jimmy Rankin—cemented his reputation as a compelling live performer. Produced by multi-award-winning artist Steve Dawson, Lucky Man brings together Stack’s signature storytelling with ballads, bluegrass, and Cajun-tinged grooves in a warm, richly lived-in set that fans of Canadiana and Americana won’t want to miss.

Doors open at 7:30 pm. Show starts at 8:00 pm sharp. Light refreshments will be available, and everyone is encouraged to bring something to enjoy or share.
