Suitable for anyone interested in millinery, design, drag, cosplay, costume and sculpture, participants will learn the fundamentals of creating DIY millinery bases and structures to build hats, headdresses and wigs.
With a focus on utilising recycled materials, accessing millinery materials on a budget and reimagining rubbish, let your imagination run wild to create multiple headdress concepts.
Sarah was the resident milliner at Circus Oz for a decade, she has won two awards at the prestigious World of Wearable Art Awards in Aotearoa, has made hats and costumes for many of Naarm’s incredible performers, is a self described trash troll, lover of hats and recycled materials and loves to generously share her lifetime of creative skills within community settings.
