A 5-day retreat built on the Sixfold Matrix of Mental Balance, developed by B. Alan Wallace and Eva Natanya at the Center for Contemplative Research: a map of genuine well-being in six facets (conative, ethical, attentional, cognitive, emotional and spiritual), each of which can be brought into balance.

We are the most informed, connected and comfortable generation that has ever lived, and not noticeably happier for it. This retreat makes a different bet: well-being comes not from what we get from the world but from what we bring to it, and what we bring can be cultivated.

This is above all a meditation retreat: teaching frames the sixfold matrix, and sitting practice explores each of the six balances in your own experience.

Led by Martin Strom. No prior experience required.
