Event description

  • Are you feeling stressed, overwhelmed or even fearful at the moment and finding these thoughts and feelings are clouding your thinking and keeping you stuck?
  • Would you like to rediscover fun and creativity in your life again?
  • Do you dabble in artwork as a form of de-stressing and would like to try something new?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this series of online and now face-to-face creative workshops will be perfect for you. In a safe and encouraging environment, where there is NO judgement or criticism (especially from yourself). you will be taken on a journey of creativity, exploration and adventure. No creative experience necessary, no expensive materials to go out and buy (if you are attending online, you can use what you have at home for the whole series). You might even, as previous attendees have, experience a level of awareness of aspects of yourself and discover more confidence and clarity.

But 'What is a mandala?', I hear you ask. The word Mandala comes from the ancient language of Sandskrit meaning Circle. For centuries, humans have seen circles in nature (flowers, ripples in a pond when a pebble is dropped in and so much more). These circles came to represent many things for different cultures, not the least of which was the cycle of life. Evidence of mandalas have been found in ancient China, Tibet, India and even parts of South America.

You may have seen the mandalas Tibetan monks spend hours laborously creating with many coloured sands, only to sweep them away as a sign of letting go and the impermanence of life.

In this is a series of 5 classes (plus FREE BONUS class called Walking the Labyrinth) you will create different mandalas while having the opportunity to experience personal growth, developing confidence in your creativity and learning to that there is no such thing as perfection.

Here is what some past attendees have said:

'I am often always thinking of other things so it made me calm down, be present and totally okay that my creativity is my own and it doesn’t have to be perfect.' Leanne B

'These workshops brought out the creative side of me I truly didn't know existed.' Chris R

'The sessions were well structured and flowed well. The series followed a very logical path and were very enjoyable' Lisa H

'Excellent - absolutely excellent - thanks Maureen; I had my own letting go' Alice H

The classes and themes of each class are:

1. Introduction to Mindful Mandalas (Release & Letting Go)

2. Freeform Mandalas (Flow)

3. Zendalas (Mindfulness)

4. Found Objects Mandalas (Curiosity & Playfulness; Impermanence)

5. Word Mandala (I AM – Discovering Your Values)

6. BONUS : The Path of the Labyrinth (Clarity and Self-trust)

Before each class you will receive a template for that day's activity; during each class you will be taken through a guided meditation, practise some gentle Qi Gong exercises and other movement activities like dancing, then you will be taken step by step through the class' activity.

After the class, you will have the opportunity to ask questions. You will also be invited to join the Wise HeART Studio Champions Facebook group to share your experiences, connect with other attendees and learn more about mindfulness and intuitive art as well as find in there great content regarding developing your creative expression in whatever form you prefer.

You can attend the whole series or, if you are time poor, just one - you might find they are quite addictive and want to come back for more, though.

The classes have now been opened to face-to-face for those who prefer the personal presence but will be limited to 4 people due to social distancing.

So what are you waiting for? This will be not just a series of classes but an experience you will love with new skills you will want to continue practising long after the classes have ended.

To gain access to these classes, you'll need to register here and, for the online classes, a Zoom Link will be sent to your address. All you need do now is click on the link and register today.

Love Maureen x
