Mindful Mondays with Bec Mackey

Start your week with a little space to breathe. Join wellbeing educator and meditation teacher Bec Mackey for a gentle Monday evening of mindfulness and journalling in the cosy surrounds of the bookshop.

Each session begins with a guided meditation designed to help you slow down, settle your mind, and step out of the busyness of everyday life. From there, you'll be invited into a series of thoughtful journalling prompts and reflective practices drawn from mindfulness, positive psychology, and contemplative traditions.

Each week will have a slightly different focus to give you a range of practices to choose from. Absolute beginners are welcome, along with experienced meditators and those with an existing journaling practice. These sessions are for you if you are looking to learn some new techniques (or deepen existing practices) to reduce stress and boost your wellbeing in a low-key, friendly and welcoming environment.

Bec Mackey is a wellbeing educator, meditation teacher, writer, and speaker with a Master's degree in Positive Psychology. Drawing on both science and contemplative practice, her work explores how people can cultivate greater wellbeing, meaning, and resilience in everyday life.

With a background in media and education, Bec is passionate about making evidence-based approaches to mental health and flourishing accessible, practical, and deeply human. Her workshops blend mindfulness, reflection, and the science of wellbeing in a warm, down-to-earth style that welcomes people exactly as they are.
