XMAS Mindfulness & Movement Silent Disco
Event description
Before life gets really crazy, take this time out for yourself to connect with your body and give your mind a break from the over thinking and constant to do list.
This is so much more than just a Silent Disco. This is an opportunity to release stress, build confidence and have FUN!
If you feel like dancing without a wine in your hand is a little out of your comfort zone - acknowledge that and then encourage yourself to try something new (when was the last time you felt a bit of discomfort???).
This is a super safe and supportive space, free from judgement. We will come together as a group to check in at the beginning and then once the headphones go on you can lose yourself in the music, go at your own pace and begin gaining confidence to move your body in a way that feels good to you.
You will be guided through the session, and we will dance together with the intention of letting go of the negative chatter and self conscious thoughts, as well as releasing stress that has been weighing us down to create a new energy that you can take with you into the silly season.
Dancing is an incredible release and will leave you feeling light and energised.
What to expect?
- A little breathwork to land us in the space
- Warm up to get our bodies ready to move
- Guided movement and free dance (if/when you feel up for it)
- Grounding and breathwork to close
What kind of music will we be listening to?
Expect a bit of Tay Tay, plenty of top 40, some old school tunes and whatever else helps us to get our bodies moving (I’ll take requests so let me know as you book your ticket what song you can't help but move to)
What should I wear?
Wear anything that you will feel good dancing in; active wear, jeans, your best dress, anything goes - the most important thing is that you feel comfortable.
What do I bring?
I suggest bringing a drink bottle
Who's running this thing...
Hi I'm Amanda, a local mum, embodiment coach and lover of dance. My mission is to bring the joy of dance and the mindfulness of movement to more women. I guide you to get out of your head and tune into your body. From this place we create distance and perspective on our thoughts and find some peace from the constant chatter that keeps us in a state of stress, worry or self consciousness. Experiencing the joy of dance and the presence that comes with it can open us up to what becomes available when we begin living from this place.
I am not a trained dance teacher, nor am I here to teach you how to dance but rather to guide you inwards to explore how you feel when your mind isn't running the show.

Still wondering if this is for you? Here's what a few of the amazing women at our last event had to say...
"It instantly felt like a safe place where there was no judgement."
"A fantastic and fun way to push yourself outside your comfort zone and try something new."
"Cant recommend highly enough for anyone needing to do something for themselves"
"What a vibe! Amanda immediately put me at ease, her energy and reassuring words really did have me dancing and singing like nobody was watching. Listening to the music & my body and Amanda's gentle instructions instead of my thoughts put me in the best mood and feel amazing."
