Mindfulness for Pain Management is an evidence-based program that shows you how to cultivate an observant, accepting and friendly approach to your own experience. The program includes awareness of body sensations, thoughts and emotions and how these all relate to your experience of pain.
WHAT'S INVOLVED?
8 x 2 1/2 hour sessions that include opportunities to experience formal meditation, gentle mindful movement and discussion to cultivate your awareness in a supportive group environment.
Day of mindfulness retreat

Week 1 – Breaking automatic pilot and recognising the present moment
Thursday 10th October 10.00am to 12.30pm
Week 2 – How we see things – perception and our experience
Thursday 17th October 10.00am to 12.30pm
Week 3 – Being and Doing - Connecting mind and body to the pleasure of the present
Thursday 24th October 10.00am to 12.30pm
Week 4 – Turning towards stress – when things get difficult
Thursday 31st October 10.00am to 12.30pm
Week 5 – Responding to stress –exploring thoughts and emotions
Thursday 7th November 10.00am to 12.30pm
Week 6 – Relating to our world – our relationship with self and others
Thursday 14th November 10.00am to 12.30pm
Full Day of Mindfulness: A full day to explore what you have been learning, to explore silence and the present moment over a longer period of time.
Sunday 17th November 10.00am – 4.00pm
Week 7 – Living with purpose & acting in accordance with our values.
Thursday 21st November 10.00am to 12.30pm
Week 8 – Bringing it home, mindfulness in daily life
Thursday 28th November 10.00am to 12.30pm
