Experience a deeper connection with nature and be guided on a sensory journey with the land we walk upon. You are invited to feel the health benefits of being in nature while deepening our relationships with the earth, ocean and ourselves.

Walking distance is max 2km over a 2 hour period - no fitness is needed this is a gentle slow down experience paced by the individual. We do spend periods of time sitting/laying down/standing and walking slowly. You may wish to bring a small portable chair if standing or sitting on the ground is not practical or comfortable.

We include light refreshments and tea at the conclusion of our session (please let us know any dietary needs you may have).

Our leaders are certified Nature Therapy Guides and practitioners in outdoor health.

We respectfully acknowledge that our adventure is on Kaurna Land traditionally owned by the Kaurna People.

WHO IS THIS EVENT SUITABLE FOR?

This event is ideal for those seeking a facilitated mindfulness experience with gentle and slow walking, meditation and opportunities to be with self and share the experience with others in a group setting. Participation in group sharing is voluntary.

Minimum age requirement is 15 years old and must come with a supervising adult - please check with us if unsure.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Due to the variability of the weather, the following items will be needed:

- a small backpack or bag or carry items

- filled water bottle

- sun protection (hat, sunnies, suncream) or wet weather gear (we will check the forecast and remind you all what to expect!)

- towel/blanket/yoga mat to lay on

- comfortable walking shoes or shoes that are easy to remove for beach time

- warm layerable clothing as this we do sit/stand/lay for periods of up to 15 minutes

- a journal or notepad if you like to draw or write

- walking poles (optional)

- small portable chair or stool to sit on (optional)

ACCESSIBILITY NEEDS

Accessible toilets are available at the start and finish point.

Not all beaches are wheelchair friendly but we use accessible paths next to the dunes for those who need it. We consider our start point and end point of our event based on the needs of our group members. Please feel free to reach out to us to talk about your needs so we can plan our route in advance accordingly.

Companion card holders are free when attending to support a person who requires support to this event.

CANCELLATIONS

Refunds are not available if cancelling 7 days or less however if we find someone to book your place we will refund you. If cancelling more than 7 days before the event 50% cancellation fees apply. A rare same day cancellation may also occur if unforeseen circumstances occur or weather warnings are issued same day - we will always phone to cancel should this occur on the day of the event. Its important you enter a correct phone number and email address when you book.
