Event description

Join Board Certified Health Coach and Co-Editor Lisa Feiner, and Susanne Saltzman MD, to learn what you can do, starting today, to preserve your most precious asset: a healthy, vibrant mind.

The Book That Will Keep You Sharp for Life! Do you struggle with your memory from time to time? Are you concerned about getting Alzheimer’s?

Sharp Again, a Westchester-nonprofit, and their Medical Advisory Board, have put 13 years of research and clinical experience into a book that reveals the science and practical, everyday applications of maintaining a healthy brain. This book can be used as a reference and guide that will keep you sharp well into old age.

About the book

Minding Your Memory offers a comprehensive and approachable guide for anyone concerned about memory loss—whether you’ve lost a loved one to dementia, are worried about your own cognition, or simply want to learn how to maintain a sharp mind throughout life. Grounded in extensive scientific research and backed by a diverse team of healthcare practitioners, this book demystifies Alzheimer’s disease—currently the most common form of dementia, representing 60–70 percent of cases—and explores how to identify and address its root causes.

You’ll discover that cognitive decline is not an inevitable part of aging. Citing research studies and medical literature, Minding Your Memory clearly explains how lifestyle factors such as nutrition, physical activity, social engagement, stress management, and oral health can play a powerful role in preventing or delaying dementia. Yet the book goes further, delving into “The Deeper Dive”—causes of memory loss that require professional testing and treatment. These include hormonal imbalances, exposure to toxins and heavy metals, hidden infections, snoring and sleep apnea, and even the lingering effects of emotional trauma.
