Mind Over Matter: Sport & Mental Health Symposium
Event description
Discover the powerful connection between sport and mental health at the Mind Over Matter Symposium.
Hosted in Bunbury, this inspiring evening brings together community, sport, and wellbeing with keynote speakers Kelsey Browne (Australian Diamond), David Wirrpanda (AFL Premiership Player), and Dave Burt (Founder of SALT – Sport and Life Training).
Through stories, discussion, and shared reflection, we’ll explore how sport can support mental wellness, connection, and resilience—while also acknowledging the pressures, transitions, and challenges that can arise.
Enjoy a relaxed, three-course dinner while hearing from athletes, coaches, health professionals, and young people about their lived experiences, leadership journeys, and insights into the role of sport in shaping mental health—for better and worse.
This community-led event is open to all—especially local sporting clubs, youth mentors, families, and those passionate about mental wellbeing.
