Event description

Join award-winning, bestselling kids' author-illustrator, Sean E Avery, for an exciting, interactive mini-comic making session!

Sean E Avery proudly presented by Children's Book Council of Australia WA Branch, Writing WA and the City of Melville Libraries.

Sean is an engaging speaker and teacher who loves to share his years of experience as a professional story-telling artist with his students. In this session, he will guide kids through the conventions of making comic stories – from idea generation through to character design; story pacing and panelling; self-publishing options; and other handy tips and tricks to empower young creatives. A practical, hands-on session with plenty of fun to be had for kids at all creative levels.

 

This event is suitable for children aged 7+ years.

 

Please be advised that children under the age of 13 years are to be accompanied by an adult at this activity.
