This Term our focus will be on animal farming. We will learn and discover what animals are raised and kept on farms and why.  We will look at all the animals on The Farm and discuss what other farms may look like across throughout Australia.

Throughout the term children will learn about various sustainable farming methods such as regenerative farming, paddock rotation, permaculture, biodynamic farming, heritage farm breeds, healthy feed options, natural pest management and how to care for and raise healthy and happy animals. Each week, will see a new farm animal topic where children will gain a deeper understanding of the different life cycles, traits and uses of each animal.  Each topic is matched to a set of engaging and creative craft and cooking activities.

As always there will be ongoing discussions and hands on learning that encompasses; planting with the seasons, companion planting and how to build and maintain healthy soil. Children will be encouraged to get into our garden plot regularly to get their hands dirty. They will be responsible for planting, caring for, maintaining and harvesting from our garden.
