The WineTech Mini-Mission offers a day-long, market immersion experience for New Zealand agritech businesses. This trip is perfect for those wanting to explore the wine and viticulture sector in and around Adelaide and the Barossa Valley.

Make the most of your time in Adelaide, and join us on Thursday 30 June, (the day after WineTech 2022) to connect with leading South Australian WineTech researchers, growers, and support services.

We’re designing a tailored day programme for this Mini-Mission, based on the unique business interests of registered attendees. Be sure to share your ideas for what would be most valuable from this Mini-Mission for you, and we’ll keep you posted on the details as the plan forms.

Event details:

Date: Thursday 30 June 2022
Time: 7:45am - 6pm
Location: Meet at Holiday Inn Express Adelaide City, Australia
Cost: $50 (incl. GST & fees) - breakfast, morning and afternoon tea will be provided. Lunch and dinner will need to be self-funded.

Draft programme (subject to change):

8am - Breakfast meeting in Adelaide CBD, including a presentation from Wine Australia, 'lay of the land’ perspective from winegrowers/agritech companies, and current research focus and recent discoveries from researchers.
10am - Bus transfer to Barossa Valley
11am - Vineyard - meet the producer
12:30pm - Coach transfer to lunch
1pm - Lunch @ The Cellar
2pm - Barossa Wine Industry Group Meetup, including a meet the growers session, and a showcase of NZ companies.
4:30pm - Coach transfer back to Adelaide CBD (please note, we'll return to the CBD at approximately 6pm, where we'll find a suitable location for a casual dinner for those wanting to join).

Please note:

This is an in-person event, and numbers are limited. The event will only proceed in line with current COVID guidelines. As part of attending this event you agree to comply with all COVID and related health and safety requirements.

To prepare you for the WineTech and the Mini-Mission, Callaghan Innovation and NZTE will host an ‘Introduction to business in South Australia’ information session at 11am on Tuesday 14 June. Invites will be sent to registered Mini-Mission attendees.
