    Event description

Poor mental health, lack of sleep, challenging interactions with others, and the stressors of day-to-day life can wear you down and sometimes we all just need to stop and be!

This mini-retreat will boost your level of calmness, inner peace, connection with self, and give you that much-needed reset. Just like we sometimes need to turn the phone off and disconnect from its ever-present attention seeking we too need to turn off from all of life’s little pressures and press the reset button. Turning the mind off for a short while, opening the body in ways that release tension, and exploring the natural rhythm of Flow is key.

In the three hours, you will begin with connecting with self, sync breath and body, and ground with Tony, our amazing Qi Gong teacher (gentle Tai Chi). After which the wonderful Kay will lead you through a yoga practice designed to bring you into the present moment, to connect deeply with your body to release, relax, and to receive the love and support of community. Lastly, you will simply surrender into complete relaxation reclining on the floor (or seated on a chair if you prefer) in Yoga Nidra with the lovely Debbie. Become increasingly calm and at peace while Debbie facilitates a guided meditation in which the only thing required is to nurture yourself, let go of thinking, and be in bliss.

    Additional information:

    - Wear comfortable clothes.
    - You may bring your own yoga mat if you choose.
    - Other items that will be handy for the yoga nidra include an eye mask or light covering for eyes, blanket, cushion for your head, and any other props you would like to use.

    ABOUT YOUR EVENT FACILITATORS:

    Tony Cook
Tony has been a student of Tai chi/Qigong since the 1980's. Over the last five years, he has conducted Qigong classes in the Surf Coast and Geelong area. His Qigong teaching has been deeply inspired by Dr. Roger Jahnke, Master Tevia Feng, and many other teachers. Tony's aim is to expose students to the deep relaxation and healing states that can be achieved through Qigong practice, that unifies the Three Treasures of Body, Breath, and Spirit. Expect gentle, flowing movement, and a calm, relaxed mind.

Kay Wilson (Spirit Earth Yoga & Massage)
Kay invites you to connect deeply with your body through the ancient teachings of yoga. Kay is a teacher and student of Hatha yoga and draws on this ancient wisdom for you to deeply access consciousness to heal body, mind, and spirit. Kay’s profound presence takes you into a meditative state to allow healing to flow with gentle rhythm.

    Debbie Walker (Seaire Yoga)
Originally trained in Viniyoga Debbie has an expanded repertoire in teaching hatha yoga, Yin, Restorative, Meditation, and Somatics. Debbie now chooses to work primarily one on one to bridge the gap in supporting and resourcing men and women who experience health issues that can restrict their ability to be with their body and mind harmoniously. Debbie’s love of yoga stems from yogi practices (such as asana, meditation, and breathwork) playing a major role in uplifting, creating, and enhancing her personal journey and healing over the years.
