DJ’s Ben-Jammin (Ben) & Crooked Mind (Luan) have been making music together since 2016. They met first as part of the 5 piece live act, Band of Crooks. Making music together for half a decade they recorded a debut EP, played community festivals & events such as Eyegum Wednesdays, Aro Fair & Toot Suite & were a regular feature at Leroy’s bar.
Over the following years, the former drummer & rapper have turned their hands to the decks.
Ben-Jammin - Raised in Bristol, UK, based in Poneke, DJ & event organiser of Ministry of House, Ben-Jammin grew up immersed in soundsystem culture. As a teen, he spent his pocket money collecting vinyl, fueling a deep passion for the heavier side of electronic music. Having organised events & played alongside top underground DJs & producers across New Zealand, Australia, & the UK, Ben-Jammin can do what it takes to keep a dance floor moving.
Crooked Mind - Raised on barn raves & festivals in the south-west of England during the 2000’s, shaped by the Bristol club scene & yearly visits to Glastonbury Festival, this rapper turned DJ brings to the floor years of in-depth research into the need for humans to gather & move to bass beats. Having journeyed into playing & mixing House, Crooked Mind leans into deep rhythms & minimal rollers with strong vocals & distinctive samples. Funky, Afro, Tech & Deep House are all in the repertoire.
Together, as Ministry of House they blast bumping B2B sets, bringing an incomparable energy everywhere they play.
