Mircha Mangiacotti - Open Letters (Album Launch)

Mircha Mangiacotti & band - ‘Open Letters’ album launch. 

‘Open Letters’ is the debut studio album featuring a collection of original songs written by Mircha in collaboration with his wife, Emma Hales, available on all platforms from 29.11.25.

Following the launch of the first single: ‘Fly Away’ in October, Mircha will perform songs from the album, featuring a quartet made of: Emma Hales on cello, bass and backing vocals, Peta Wilson on keys and Kym Ambrose on drums.

The set will feature entirely original new music, reminiscent of classic folk ballads and acoustic blues with a vintage, jazzy vibe. The material is a blend of storytelling, vivid imagery and personal memories, channeled by direct yet powerful lyrics with a subtle European flavour.

Mircha Mangiacotti

Mircha is a guitarist for manouche band Gypsy Cats, Brazilian ensemble Forrobodoz and instrumental duo Le Nuvole, amongst others. This new solo project is something different from the usual repertoire, driven by an impulse to write original new music following the release of instrumental album ‘In the Wind’ in 2021. 

Rosa Mack (solo)

A powerhouse vocalist and veteran of impassioned performances, this Meanjin/Brisbane-based soultress usually takes to the stage with her nine-piece rock/soul collective, captivating audiences with old school funk flavour and confident style. Performing solo, she is engaging, unapologetic, ferociously talented and painfully vulnerable, melting soulful tones of the 60’s and 70’s era with masterful lyricism.
