Event description

The Detroit party train is arriving at Misc -- announcing motor city legend 𝐃𝐄𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐈𝐓 𝐈𝐍 𝐄𝐅𝐅𝐄𝐂𝐓 for a Naarm-exclusive show on Apr 24 / public holiday eve!

A certified legendary and trailblazing act, 𝐃𝐄𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐈𝐓 𝐈𝐍 𝐄𝐅𝐅𝐄𝐂𝐓 was born in 1995 as a collaboration between Detroit's DJ Maaco and P Dogg. Their landmark debut EP, "The Men You'll Never See", laid the blueprint for OG and raw Detroit electro, laced with the classic genre staple of raw 808s, and infused with strong influences of hip hop, gospel, Miami bass, and techno. Irresistible music with enough dirt to satisfy the sleaziest party animal or clarity of tone to inspire the most informed minds.

𝐃.𝐈.𝐄 as they're commonly known have a whole library of all-timer tunes - "R U Married", "Shake a Lil Faster", "There Ain't No Future", "Let Your Body Rock", "Work It" to name a few - flexing the signature Detroit funk futurism that still sounds a decade ahead even today. DJ Maaco carrying the D.I.E torch into the 21st century, still producing and DJing some the freshest contemporary electro.

An all-time booking for us!
