Event description
Mitchell Shire - Teacher Environment Network
Teachers within Mitchell Shire and surrounds are invited to join the Term 2 TEN meeting!
Join us for our first meeting of 2024, where we will be exploring Mitchell Shire's new Resource Recovery Centre, to learn everyday acts we can engage in - in and outside of the classroom - to reduce the impact our waste has on the environment.
Hosted by ResourceSmart Schools and held at Seymour's new Resource Recovery Centre - we will be joined by Mitchell Shire's Regional Waste Education Officer Grace Davis-Williams, who will showcase the new facility and education space, and share how she can support your individual schools’ waste journeys. Our afternoon session will be filled with waste activities, local networking opportunities and free student waste resources.
We aim to inspire you with waste/ sustainability ideas that you can introduce in your classroom, and provide a space for you to share your own ideas and experiences on implementing waste education and activities.
Tea, coffee and a light supper will be served during the session. We look forward to seeing you there!
