Mixed Asian Day™ — Code of Conduct

Mixed Asian Day™ is a space built on connection, respect, and celebration of mixed Asian identity. This Code of Conduct applies to all attendees, speakers, vendors, volunteers, and staff at the event on September 13, 2026, at BRICK, 2863 Historic Decatur Rd, San Diego, CA 92106.

***Please note, no dogs or pets are allowed, due to venue rules***

Expected Behavior

Treat all attendees, panelists, vendors, and staff with respect and kindness. Mixed Asian Day is a diverse space — attendees represent a wide range of ethnicities, cultures, family backgrounds, gender identities, sexual orientations, ages, and abilities. Harassment, discrimination, hate speech, and disrespectful behavior of any kind will not be tolerated.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or religion

• Unwelcome physical contact or sexual attention

• Deliberate misgendering or use of "dead" or rejected names

• Disruption of panels, presentations, or vendor spaces

Photography & Video Consent

Mixed Asian Day™ will be photographed and filmed throughout the event for promotional, archival, and media purposes. By entering the premises, you consent to being photographed and/or filmed, and to the use of your image or likeness in future Mixed Asian Media, Golden Guide, and Leviathan Lab promotional materials, including social media, websites, and print.

Reporting an Issue

If you experience or witness a violation of this Code of Conduct, please report it to event staff on-site or contact the organizers at alex@mixedasianmedia.com. All reports will be handled promptly and discreetly.

Enforcement

Organizers may take any action deemed appropriate, including a verbal warning, removal from the event without refund, or a ban from future Mixed Asian Media events. The safety and comfort of our community comes first.
