About the class:

In this all-levels course, we will explore mixed media art journaling as a tool to help us find quiet, focus, and connection with our intuition (and beyond). Using a variety of meditation and art techniques, we'll get into a flow state, where inspiration comes easily and play is the order of the day. Through writing, collage, paint, and other media, we will create a record of our thoughts, feelings, and aspirations. We'll learn to layer paint, colored pencils, gesso, oil pastels and more and will use these techniques in playful exploration. In this state of play and exploration, we enter a state of connection with our intuition rather than our thinking mind. Students will leave this class with an understanding of mixed media techniques and how to apply them outside of the classroom, as well as a physical art journal full of their experiments, wisdom and visions.
