3 years of MMA supporting healthcare in South Sudan - Basketball Event
Event description
Medical Mission Aid has supported the Jonglei Health Sciences Institute in Bor Town, South Sudan through its project partner, Christian Health Initiatives for 3 years. South Sudan is a country plagued by poverty, conflict and a critical shortage of health professionals with less than 100 doctors in a country of 12 million people. This compares to 4 doctors per 1000 people in Australia.
MMA wants to celebrate its impact in South Sudan whilst continuing to strengthen fragile health systems through training of future doctors, nurses and midwives.Â
Partner with us in this work by purchasing your tickets to MMA's Spring Fundraiser+ with the Melbourne United Basketball Club. Tickets are priced from less than $40 and include:
- a face to face autograph opportunity with South Sudanese MU basketballer, Jo Lual-Acuil Jr*Â
- a chance to receive a free Melbourne United jersey signed by the team
- a thank you gift from Medical Mission Aid
- a percentage of your purchase will support Medical Mission Aid's work supporting healthcare in vulnerable communities
MMA has secured only a limited number of tickets. Get in quick, all tickets must go by Friday 22nd September.
