Tour of Melbourne Market 2026
Description
Explore the Heart of Fresh Produce and Florals at Melbourne Market in Epping.
Hosted by Melbourne's North Food Group in collaboration with Melbourne Market Authority.
Join us for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of Melbourne Market, one of Victoria’s most important fresh produce hubs and home to the National Flower Centre.
Opened in 2015 and operating from a purpose-built 67-hectare site in Epping, Melbourne Market plays a vital role in our food and flower supply chain. It connects local growers, wholesalers, and independent retailers, moving millions of dollars in fresh produce across Victoria and beyond every single day.
What to Expect:
🌸 Step into the National Flower Centre – Take 10–15 minutes to admire the gorgeous floral displays and purchase fresh flowers straight from the source.
🍎 Explore the fresh produce trading floor – See the Market in action and take in the vibrant sights, sounds, and energy of this early-morning hub.
👩🌾 Meet local vendors – Chat with passionate traders and get up close with the wide variety of colourful fruits and vegetables on offer.
💼 Learn about the economic impact – Discover how the Market supports over 2,750 businesses and more than 2,000 individual buyers in the fresh food ecosystem.
Whether you work in food manufacturing, retail, hospitality, or are simply curious about where Melbourne's fresh food and flowers come from, this tour is a rare chance to step inside the engine room of Melbourne’s fresh produce and supply chain.

Directions and Parking:
From Cooper Street, turn into Produce Drive and proceed straight through the roundabout in the right-hand lane towards the Gate 1 sign.
Approx. 20 metres after the roundabout, you will see a boom gate to your right, which is the entrance to the Administration Carpark. (If you get to the large Gate 1 boom gates, you have gone too far)
Please take a ticket and proceed to park in any spaces that are unmarked. Upon departing, we will either validate your parking ticket or, alternatively, arrange for the boom gate to be opened.
Head to the MMA Administration building, where you will be escorted inside to our conference room.
