Everyone who attends Modifyre needs a ticket to participate in this experiment in temporary community. From the organising committee who put in many hours throughout the year, to the individuals who make up our theme camps, those who perform and artists who share their creations with us, to the volunteers who make it function, we’re all co-creating this magic together. 

Following our annual fundraiser, Minifyre: Dawn of the Cosmic Cat, we invite you to join us to participate in Modifyre 2026: Transformation.

Were our calls to the Queer Cosmic Cat heard? Will we have succeeded in inter-galactic message sharing? What does it all mean?  We don’t know, but we can’t wait to come together and find out with you all!

Modifyre is the regional Burning Man event for Queensland and Northern NSW. It is one of 4 official regional Burning Man events in Australia. These events are built around the core philosophies of Burning Man, an experimental gathering dedicated to creativity and community.
