QUBIC Molecules Theme Workshop 2026
Description
We are pleased to invite you to the 2026 Molecules Theme Workshop:
“Molecular Qubits: Development and Applications”
This workshop will focus on how the theoretical, experimental and simulation expertise within the centre can facilitate the development of novel molecular quantum sensors tailored to specific applications.
Topics will include:
Methods to predict theoretically (or monitor experimentally) the stability of specific quantum states
Strategies for enhancing the quantum-coherence lifetimes within a molecular system
Alternative molecular qubit systems (inorganic, organic or protein)
Target properties, systems, and applications (i.e. where is the greatest need and what properties would make a molecular quantum sensor truly transformative)
Workshop Details:
Dates: 9–10 June 2026
Arrival: Monday 8 June (optional) OR Tuesday 9 June morning
*The workshop itself will start from 10am Tuesday till 12pm Wednesday.
Venue: Moreton Bay Research Station, North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah)
Accommodation and catering will be provided for attendees.
