Monash Energy Club Ideathon 2025

Want to learn about green hydrogen in Australia, use your problem-solving skills for sustainability, score a free lunch, and compete for a prize pool of up to $4000? Register now for MEC’s 2025 Ideathon.

On the day, you’ll be given a problem focused on green hydrogen. Don’t worry though - this isn’t a technical challenge, and no prior knowledge is needed. The Ideathon is about ideas - we’ll give you all the information you need to start thinking outside the box, and you’ll have mentors from industry present to guide your solution. Our industry partners include companies in the renewables, hydrogen and consulting spaces - so you'll get a variety of feedback throughout the day.

It is a team-based event, so grab your friends and form a group of 3 to 5 members to take on the challenge together! Don’t have a team? No worries! Come along as an individual, and we’ll match you with an awesome group on the day.

Location: Clayton campus (location to be confirmed via email)

Prior knowledge required: None! We'll tell you everything you need to get started.

Note: To sign up as a team, one person must purchase all the team members' tickets in a single order. If tickets are purchased separately, we will assume you are participating as an individual and assign you to a team!
