In this RAIL eForum, three Australian allied health practitioner/ researchers reflect upon where their allied health careers have taken them, and discuss the challenges and rewards of work in international contexts. Dr Pauline Kleinitz has a physiotherapy background and is currently Technical Advisor to the World Health Organisation where she is instrumental in shaping the global rehabilitation agenda. Professor Sarah Anderson has a prosthetic/ orthotic background and her career has spanned professional standards, regulation and education both in Australia and internationally, now leading research in injury prevention. Dr Natasha Layton is an occupational therapist whose passion for assistive technology (AT) took her from local practice and voluntary roles with the AT community in Australia, to the international standards stage.

This RAIL eForum will cover:
• Non-traditional career pathways for allied health in the international development context
• The value of allied health practitioners within international organisations and global health
• The changing socio-political context internationally and how we remain effective
