MONO 41: Lucas Abela and Maria Moles
Event description
Witness the daring work of Lucas Abela (SYD), who uses plate glass and noise electronics in his legendary performances. Over the past two years Abela has completely reimagined his performances, developing a quadraphonic approach that synchronises with his body resulting in a responsive and embodied aural intensity.
For MONO 41 Abela will be supported by Maria Moles (MEL). Maria is a drummer/producer whose solo percussion performances span free improvisation, jazz, contemporary composition and experimental pop to contribute an acute sense of touch, placement and timbre, and a powerful rhythmic drive. She has recently celebrated the release of her new album For Leolanda.
Please note: limited seating will be available for those who need it.
