MONO 52 | Senyawa (IDN) and Fabio Perletta
Event description
Indonesia’s Senyawa (Rully Shabara and Wukir Suryadi), create a profoundly unique sound world that uses bespoke instruments and experimental vocal techniques to push at the nexus of improvisation and composition. For over a decade they have redefined themselves repeatedly, developing a way in music that is entirely their own. Their work is visceral and physical, and calls on forms that embody elements of traditional Indonesian music, free jazz, noise and heavy metal.
Fabio Perletta’s work investigates the delicate balance between presence and space, silence and noise, inspired by microbiology, quantum physics, and Zen practices. Featured at the Venice Biennale and venues such as London's Café OTO, his performances create immersive auditory experiences that blur the lines between material and immaterial.
