Mono-Poly-February
Event description
We unfold a Polyphonic array of works in our monthly experiments in event making at Collingwood Yards.
February’s Mono-Poly is guest-curated by Josephine Mead through a process of artist-led curation. Josephine has supplied the artists with prompts, and in response, each artist presents an ‘offering’, constituting a fragment within an indexical system formed through making and exchange.
(7-9PM)
‘Index: A Fragmentary Offering’ presents audio, performance, movement and spoken word works by Martina Copley, Merinda Dias-Jayasinha, Lisa Lerkenfeldt, Justin Malvaso, Harrison Jones-Ritchie and Deanne Butterworth in the outdoor amphitheatre of Collingwood Yards.
(Ongoing)
Food + Drink: Gian Manik.
Videography: Carmen-Sibha Keiso
We acknowledge the traditional owners and sovereign custodians of the land on which we are situated, the peoples of the Woiwurrung and Boonwurrung language groups. We extend our respect to their Ancestors and all First Peoples and Elders past, present, and future.
COVIDsafe protocols apply. Collingwood Yards courtyard is accessible via Johnson Street and Perry Street. It is a wheelchair accessible site, with elevators that service each building, floor and tenancy. There is graded access to each outdoor level from both streets and accessible toilets across the site.
