About embodied ecstatic dance:

This will be a facilitated experience, encouraging free expression, breaking out of old patterns, trying new things, and letting the music move you into something new. It's not about looking pretty, getting it "right", or performing for anyone else. When we step on THIS dance floor, we include our whole selves, even the frightened parts that want to hide. We dance through pain and sorrow. We dance with joy until our hard edges soften and our masks fall away, here we meet other courageous dancers and we know, without a doubt, we are not alone.

The music and Sarah’s guidance will begin by settling into the space and connecting with yourself and Cacao, before starting to flow into movements. This is a practice of letting your insides (or what is moving within), be expressed externally in a safe and non-judgmental space. As you go through your dance journey, you may find yourself accessing parts of yourself that you haven’t in a while, you might find yourself letting go of the thinking mind and sinking into the present moment, you might find new pathways of movement and expression, that allow more freedom and flow in your external life.

Your movement journey will naturally bring you back down to a resting position, where we will close with some gentle conscious breath to calm the nervous system and allow you to leave feeling grounded, deeply relaxed and connected to yourself.

Who is Sarah:

Sarah Menlove is a certified Cacao, breathwork and embodied ecstatic dance facilitator. She is a facilitator of grounded, heart centered transformational experiences and embodied ritual journeys, using movement and breath as tools to break through the limits of the mind to support participants to access more of themselves, their fullest expression and their innate wholeness.
