Monthly Forum: The Water-Energy Nexus
Event description
It takes water to make energy and it takes energy to make water. In some buildings, the cost of water is greater than the cost of HVAC+DHW energy, yet we don’t address it. Simple water retrofits can greatly increase the cash flow in a building. There are also many things that we use on a day to day basis that use immense amount of water, and controlling this use reduces the strain on local and regional water resources.
We'll :
1. the impact of water on many building budgets from single to multifamily
2. how much catastrophic waste of water in buildings can be curbed
3. how much water it takes to manufacture the everyday things in your life
