We're excited to invite you to our monthly Open House every third Thursday! Our Open House welcomes young creatives, family members, and community organizations to a free community event where you can explore our Youth Media Studio.
Come connect with our staff, learn about our programs, and engage in the lively atmosphere of our creative space. The Open House will include a special music-based workshop that everyone is encouraged to join and participate in. It's a wonderful opportunity to be part of a creative experience and connect with the essence of our Youth Media Studio.
Welcome in: 3:30 pm to 4:00 pm
YMS Activation (Tour / Explore): 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Special Workshop: 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Wrap up: 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm
4/18 - Keep It Real with Homeboy Sandman
Join us for a conversation with Homeboy Sandman where we'll dissect the messages from mainstream rap music and hip hop culture and explore some options for increasingly positive content.
ABOUT HOMEBOY SANDMAN:
Homeboy Sandman is a layered wordsmith from Queens known for his inventive flows, conscious lyrics, and deadpan humor.
