Intention: Over these four days we will explore mindfulness of breath practice as taught by the Buddha through meditation, teaching and discussion. We will explore the classic 16 phases using the breath to settle and guide the mind. The focus of the retreat will be on deepening and strengthening our personal practice of mindfulness as a basis for gaining insight.

"Being cultivated and made much of, meditation on mindfulness of breathing is peaceful, sublime, and immaculate; it is a happy abiding that allays and quells bad and unwholesome mental states as soon as they arise" (SN 54.9).
