Montsalvat Autumn Open Studio Day
Description
Free entry | Donations encouraged
Join us at Montsalvat for our Autumn Open Studio Day — a rare opportunity to step inside working artist studios and experience the site alive with creativity.
As a not-for-profit organisation without regular government funding, philanthropy plays a vital role in maintaining our heritage buildings and grounds. Donations on the day are warmly encouraged and go directly towards the restoration and care of our unique precinct. Your support truly makes a difference.
Open Artist Studios – Meet our resident artists, chat about their practice and lifestyle within our creative community, browse available works, purchase an artwork, or book into a class or workshop. Artists: Aldona Kmiec, Adam Frith, Angela Abbott, Cath Rutten, Don James, Jeanette Dyke, Dr Jo Canning, Mary Caia, Rochelle van der Merwe, Shinobu Kobayashi and Sue Thomas.
Live Music – Enjoy the sounds of BOTH and the Tony Yang Duo as live music drifts across the grounds.
Honey Tastings – Sample honey made by our onsite bees, lovingly cultivated by our dedicated volunteer apiarist beekeeper.
Four Gallery Exhibitions – Featuring works by Damien Skipper, Belinda Evans, Jane Suffield and the Ringwood Arts Society.
Café & Grounds – Grab a coffee and a bite from the café and enjoy it in our beautiful grounds. BYO picnic rug if you’d like to relax and soak up the atmosphere.
Spend the day immersed in art, heritage and community — we look forward to welcoming you.
