Acclaimed pianist, composer and lyricist Monique diMattina presents the unplugged version of her latest project - STELLA: The Miles Franklin Story. STELLA is a developing musical with book, lyrics and music by Monique diMattina, telling the extraordinary life story of Australian author Stella Miles Franklin.
In the intimacy of the Montsalvat Barn Gallery, Monique presents songs from STELLA in an unplugged style alongside longtime collaborators Sam Lemann and Ben Robertson, giving audiences a unique insight into the creative process through songs, stories, gossip and Miles Franklin’s own words.
2024 heralds the return of Montsalvat’s much anticipated Jazz Series. The concerts are hosted on the last Sunday of each month, showcasing a varied and exciting line-up of familiar greats and fresh new talent.
