Combining the tenderness of Big Thief with the sizzling on-stage dynamic of Fleetwood Mac, Mood Spill have built a strong reputation with audiences through multiple sold out headline shows, festival appearances (such as Queenscliff Music Festival and Wonder Mountain Festival).

Hailing from Melbourne’s inner north, the indie rock band presents audiences with an impressive display of multi-instrumentalist talent – with all five members sharing songwriting duties and regularly swapping instruments from track-to-track on stage.

Though technically impressive, the band’s captivating personalities have proven equally compelling with audiences. A stray laugh, a funny look, a whispered joke – Mood Spill are the group of friends that everyone wants to be a part of. Playing to rooms with unbridled confidence, they invite audiences into their world with a gravitational pull.

Following the success of their debut EP (charting at #5 on the AIR Australian Indie Record Album charts) and supporting VIC/NSW tour in 2024, Mood Spill return with their first new music since 2024, the emotional and folk-tinged heartwarmer ‘Can’t Stop Smiling’. Produced by Tom Iansek (Maple Glider, #1 Dads), the track has been a staple of the band’s live performances since its inception.

“Mood Spill’s debut EP… is a record to be cherished, spun over and over again, each listen revealing new layers of beauty and emotion.”
