Description

What is MooshFest?

It's a 2-day cosmic music and arts gathering in Montana — featuring Blitzen Trapper, The Space Lady, Luke Temple, Pedal Steel Noah, and more.

Expect live music, immersive art, camping under the stars, and a one-of-a-kind community experience.

See full lineup at mooshfest.com, or scroll on down this page.

MooshFest is co-organized by a group of extraterrestrials from another universe and their sole human collaborator: Ty, a (perhaps involuntary) member of the intergalactic band Ty Walker and The Humanoids.

Together, they’ve assembled this gathering as a celebration of intergalactic connection — using music, art, and shared teachings to explore what links us across space, time, and species.

So… what does a festival put on by aliens actually look like?

  • 👽 An opening ceremony led by Zeob, the Alien Priestess, blessing the land and aligning frequencies

  • 🎶 Two days of music spanning Cosmic Country, Cumbia, and other earthly + unearthly transmissions

  • 🌀 Interactive, cosmic-themed art installations across the valley

  • 🧘 A continuous sound-bath & healing arts space, including yoga and sound healing

  • 🧠 Talks and speakers exploring ESP, consciousness, and expanded perception

  • 🎲 Playful, all-ages activities including Cosmic Bingo, Reptoid Rodeo, an interstellar puppet show, lawn games, face painting, and a costume-making station

  • 🍲 Food, drinks, and curated vendors, offering nourishment, artifacts, and earthly delights

  • 🌈 All-ages & family-friendly — a place where humans and aliens coexist in harmony

MooshFest is part music festival, part cosmic ritual, part playful experiment in interspecies coexistence.

Lineup

  • Blitzen Trapper

    Blitzen Trapper

Self-proclaimed 'Cosmic-Flunkies', Portland’s Blitzen Trapper bring dusty psych-folk, hazy psychedelic Americana, and road-worn songs that feel like a sunset drive through another dimension. Headliner: Friday night

  • The Space Lady

    The Space Lady

Outsider-music legend The Space Lady delivers otherworldly synth songs that feel like transmissions from deep space.

  • Luke Temple and The Cascading Moms

Luke Temple and The Cascading Moms

Lauded for his contributions to Here We Go Magic and Art Feynman, Luke Temple brings his signature off-kilter grooves and melodies to his new project’s debut album Certain Limitations. The trio’s sound takes influence from the likes of Dire Straits and The Velvet Underground, weaving together intricate guitar work and a propulsive rhythm section, with a touch of jazz sensibility that recalls the ECM catalog.

  • Pedal Steel Noah

    Pedal Steel Noah

Pedal Steel Noah is a 17-year-old pedal steel prodigy whose viral Instagram videos—often joined by his brother Nate on bass and their dog Kara—have captivated fans worldwide. In 2024, he made his Grand Ole Opry debut, invited by Vince Gill, sealing his place as one of the instrument’s most exciting new voices.

  • Ty Walker and The Humanoids

    Ty Walker and The Humanoids

Intergalactic explorers of space, time, and sound from Planet Glarphonia, fronted by their perhaps-involuntary Earthling collaborator Ty Walker, who mysteriously vanished from Montana many years ago Headliner: Saturday night

  • Garrett T. Capps

    Garrett T. Capps

San Antonio’s cosmic country outlaw, Garrett T. Capps bends time with cowboy kraut, Tex-Mex rock ’n’ roll, and motorik honky-tonk. A local legend at The Lonesome Rose (his bar), and inexplicably a national treasure in Holland.

  • Duffy X Uhlmann

    Duffy X Uhlmann

Two guitars in quiet communion—Meg Duffy (Hand Habits) and Greg Uhlmann (Perfume Genius) weave slow, intuitive improvisations rooted in trust, presence, and deep listening.

  • Federale

    Federale

Brooding, cinematic Western psych from Portland, Federale conjure desert noir soundscapes—part spaghetti western, part midnight ritual.

  • Monde UFO

    Monde UFO

The LA-based duo of Ray Monde and Kris Chau craft immersive soundscapes that drift between psychedelia, space rock, and jazz. Built on a tension between lo-fi haze and hi-fi shimmer, their music unfolds like a monochrome sunset for the senses.

  • Izaak Opatz

    Izaak Opatz

Like many of his favorite songwriters (John Hartford, Lucinda Williams, Jeff Tweedy), Izaak Opatz is an ungulate in life’s winter pasture, chewing on and metabolizing disappointment, heartbreak, and the other tough stuff into enjoyable musical carbohydrates.

  • Junior

    Junior

At the junction of sparse folk, pop, and cosmic country you’ll find Junior, helmed by three distinct and complementary songwriters. The trio brings lush harmonies that cut through the dust. Based in Missoula, Walkerville, and Butte, Montana.

  • Bad Quitters

    Bad Quitters

Drawing from the introspective spirit of indie songwriting and the earthy twang of alternative country, the Boise, Idaho-based Bad Quitters create tunes that feel both intimate and expansive — with fuzzy riffs turned up to a ten, and quiet melodic crooning built for late-night drives, dimly lit bars, and dusty back alley ways that hold space for dreamers and schemers alike.

  • King Ropes

    King Ropes

Born of Montana’s wide-open skies and backroad barrooms, King Ropes channel lo-fi Americana through a psychedelic lens — dusty folk yarns tangled with feedback, shimmering guitars, and melodies that echo like wind across the plains.

  • ZINNIA

    ZINNIA

ZINNIA makes luminous art-pop that moves between glitter and gravity. Led by Toronto-based Rachael Cardiello, her music carries both dance-floor sparkle and wide-open mountain air—songs that burst, soften, and rise, leaving a glow long after they end.

  • Celebrity Telethon

    Celebrity Telethon

Glam rock shimmer. Garage snarl. Underground country grit. A little Velvet Underground haze and a little psychedelic cow punk energy. Expect the unexpected from Portland’s Celebrity Telethon.

  • The Beagles

    The Beagles

These masked pups from Livingston, Montana describe their sound as “psychedelic country music from North and South America” — a wild blend of twang and cumbia spun into long, swirling, high-energy jams. Beagle dog masks on, boundaries off.

  • Stonefruit

    Stonefruit

Based out of Bozeman, Montana, Stonefruit makes music for people who enjoy eating a big ol’ nectarine, laying in a shallow creek, watching late-night television, driving around after dark, and digging in the dirt.

  • Bart Budwig

    Bart Budwig

With a voice that carries both gravel and grace, Budwig merges cosmic country, folk rock, and soul into something deeply human. Jazz-tinged guitar lines, country rhythms, and raspy, drawn-out melodies swirl together into songs that balance tragedy and humor — grounded in the PNW dirt, but reaching skyward.

  • Pork Fever

    Pork Fever

Missoula mainstay Chris Bacon brings his latest sonic venture ‘Pork Fever’ to the stage — angular soundscapes and off-kilter rhythms that feel pulled from a slightly tilted parallel universe. Expect restless grooves and endearing instability.
