MORE KIDS AT GIGS is a community initiative started by a group of musicians who then became parents...

…and felt our options for going to gigs with our kids were either too loud, too late or too stressful.

We’re creating a new kind of experience where parents feel comfortable bringing their children along to, and can share their love of music as a family.

But it’s not a kids’ concert.

We believe children have the capacity to appreciate all genres of music, so each event is thoughtfully curated, featuring local, relevant, diverse, contemporary Australian acts. Accompanying them are playful puppet performances that spark children’s engagement with the music and make it more accessible for younger audiences, without compromising the artistic integrity of the bands that parents love to go and see.

You’re invited to help us test out this new idea at our ALL AGES, ALCOHOL-FREE PILOT GIG featuring local musician and dear friend, Luke Spook and his band!

Free entry but registration is essential - please include both parents and children in your rego!

A couple of considerations for the kids:

In line with WHO recommendations, we’ll be keeping volume levels at or below 75 dBA, which is safe for short events like this one. We’ll be monitoring levels throughout the show. Still, we recommend bringing earmuffs for children aged 0–5, just to be safe.
Photos and video will be taken during the event for documentation purposes, such as funding applications to support future events. If you do not consent to your child being photographed or filmed, let us know.
