MORE OF YOU-An Embodied Workshop for Men
Description
MORE OF YOU-An Embodied Workshop for Men
Be here. Back yourself. Be seen.
Less second-guessing. Less holding back. More of you.
You can be confident in some areas of your life and still find yourself second-guessing in others.
Holding back what you really think.
Waiting instead of acting.
Overthinking what to say.
Not wanting to get it wrong.
Not wanting to come across as too much, too controlling, too vulnerable......or not enough.
And sometimes, without even realising it, you stop bringing all of yourself into the room.
More of You is a half-day embodied workshop for men designed to change that.
Not by teaching you how to look confident.
By giving you an opportunity to experience what it feels like to be more grounded, present and solid in yourself.
This isn't another workshop where you sit around talking about yourself.
(This event will be limited to 12 Men)
We'll work through the body.
Through a carefully designed series of practical, embodied experiences, you'll explore regulation, attention, presence, connection, self-trust and what happens when you stop trying to get it right and start trusting yourself.
You'll practise noticing what's actually happening inside you.
You'll explore what changes when you give someone your full presence....and when you take it away.
You'll experience what it feels like to reach, respond, connect and allow yourself to be met.
And you'll explore the difference between leading and controlling....learning to move, choose and act without needing to know that you'll get it right.
Because confidence isn't having no doubt.
It's being able to back yourself even when you don't know exactly what happens next.
Who is this for?
This is for men who want to feel more solid in themselves and more comfortable in how they show up.
You might recognise that you:
spend too much time in your head or second-guessing yourself
hold back rather than risk getting something wrong
find it difficult to know what you want....or act on it when you do
want to feel more confident without putting on an act
want to be more present in dating, relationships, work or everyday life
know there's more of you in there than you're currently allowing people to experience.
You don't need any experience with embodiment, men's work or personal development.
You just need to be willing to participate.
What to Bring
Come dressed in comfortable clothes you can move easily in.
Please bring with you:
Black pants or black jeans
A plain, well-fitting black T-shirt with no logos or graphics
(Please bring these with you .....you don’t need to arrive wearing them.)A cushion, meditation cushion or something comfortable to sit on
A water bottle
A notebook and pen, if you’d like to take notes
There’s nothing you need to prepare beforehand.
Just come as you are.
What you'll walk away with
This isn't about becoming a different man.
It's about having greater access to the man who's already there.
You'll leave with practical ways to get out of your head and back into your body, a greater awareness of how you respond under pressure, and an experience of what it feels like to hold your ground, trust yourself and stay present with another person.
And perhaps most importantly, an opportunity to see yourself differently.
Because during this experience, something else will be happening.
Something of what you discover in yourself will be captured.
Not a performance.
Not the version of you that knows how to pose for a camera.
You.
More present.
More accessible.
More of you.
You will also receive a digital copy of one of the images captured on the day to keep and treasure forever, valued at $149.
This probably isn't for you if...
You're looking for a lecture, a networking event or a workshop you can sit quietly at the back of and observe.
This is experiential.
Nothing is about forcing disclosure or making you perform vulnerability, but you will be invited to participate, experiment, notice and experience.
We'll create the conditions.
You decide how far you step in.
This is a Trauma-informed workshop, so consent and agency will be discussed and implemented.
Your Guides
Guided by Joelle Camille, Emotional Fitness Therapist and Coach, and Photographer Marina Morgan of SEEN, More of You brings together embodied work and photography in a unique, first of it's kind, experience designed specifically for men.
Come as you are.
You don't need to be more confident first.
You don't need to know what you're doing.
And you definitely don't need to be good in front of a camera.
That's rather the point.

Marina Morgan
Marina is a portrait photographer, personal stylist and the founder of SEEN. For more than a decade, she's been helping people look good on the outside and feel great on the inside, exploring the transformation that happens when we allow ourselves to be truly seen. She knows most men don't walk into a photography studio thinking, "I can't wait to have my photo taken." That's exactly why her approach is relaxed, straightforward and human. You don't need to know how to perform for the camera. Marina guides you through it, helping you settle into yourself and let something real come through. One of her male clients described the experience as "one of the life-changing things I did", and thanked Marina for "letting me see what I couldn't before." So many men carry a quiet criticism about how they look, and it's exactly this that the photography experience helps shift, replacing it with kinder eyes. An experience with Marina is not just about creating a great photograph, but about giving you the chance to see yourself from a completely different perspective. And perhaps discover there's more of you there than you realised.
FAQs
- 1. Do I need any experience with embodied work or men’s workshops?
Not at all. You don’t need to know anything about embodiment, nervous system work or men’s work. Everything will be explained and guided as we go. Just come with a willingness to participate and be curious about yourself.
- 2. What actually happens during the workshop?
You’ll be guided through a series of practical, body-based experiences exploring things like attention, presence, confidence, self-trust and connection. You’ll work individually, in pairs and as a group, with time to reflect and integrate along the way.
And there’s a photography element woven into the experience......but we’re deliberately keeping some of that under wraps :))
- 3. Do I have to share personal things or do anything I’m uncomfortable with?
No. You won’t be asked to disclose your life story or share anything you’d prefer to keep private. You’ll always have choice around your participation, and you’re encouraged to listen to yourself and your own boundaries throughout the day.
- 4. What if I hate having my photo taken?
Then you may be exactly the man this workshop is for.
You don’t need to know how to pose, look confident or be “good” in front of a camera. In fact, we’re not interested in teaching you any of that.
The photography is about capturing you, not a performance of you.
- 5. What will I walk away with?
Our intention is that you leave feeling more grounded in yourself, more aware of how you show up with others, and more able to stay present, trust yourself and back yourself when it matters.
You’ll also leave with something quite unique from Marina that captures part of your experience....but we’ll let you discover that on the day.
