Event description

Spend the day with artist Ellen Ferrier, exploring the formal qualities of sculpture through playful engagement with locally-foraged materials.

Lunch, tea and coffee will be provided.

Please wear practical, comfortable clothing and footwear. There is some walking involved in this workshop.

Ellen Ferrier is an Australian artist that employs local, natural and sustainable materials in the creation of large-scale installations that enkindle renewed wonderment of, and correlation with the elemental world. She is increasingly interested in exploring both traditional and emerging sustainable materials through creative collaboration, as a means of showcasing their exciting potentiality as building blocks of the future. Having completed a Bachelor of Interior Architecture at UNSW in 2013, Ellen then went on to study various creative pursuits including woord-fired ceramics and bodywork modalities. In 20201 she completed her Master of FIne ARts form the Burren College of Art in County Clare, Ireland. Ellen currently lives and works in the Byron Bay hinterland of Northern NSW.
