Experience Moree's Artesian Hot Springs & Explore An Underground Opal Mine At Lightning Ridge
Event description
If you haven't yet experienced the Artesian Thermal Mineral pools in Moree, you don't know what you're missing out on. Thousands of visitors flock to relax and rejuvenate in the hot Artesian springs sourced naturally from deep inside the Great Artesian Basin.
Discover the therapeutic benefits of the mineral-rich waters. You will find that after your soak, your body may feel refreshed. The beneficial mineral absorption of the artesian water can last for up to three hours.
The water temperature ranges from 35 - 41 degrees celcius and the content of the water has sodium chloride, sodium sulphate, sodium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, calcium carbonate, iron, alumina and silica. Some say you will come out looking 10 years younger.
The Artesian thermal water that fills our pools is drawn from the Great Artesian Basin at a depth of approximately 720 metres (2400 feet). The Artesian water has been trapped deep below ground in a sandstone layer for many thousands of years and during this time it absorbs an abundance of beneficial minerals and elements that are not found in other water. This concentration of minerals and the waters natural heat is believed to be what brings the feeling of wellness and relief that so many of our guests talk about. This is Mother Nature at it's best!
