Mitchell Street is like having an extended family. Our centre is relaxed and intimate in size, which allows children and families to get to know each other through daily interaction and various social events throughout the year. Many families make connections that go well beyond their Mitchell Street days.
The lovely treed play areas are perfect for adventures and a range of structured and unstructured play. We also enjoy regular excursions (CERES, the zoo, local parks and schools).
Incursions include art, dance, sport and gardening/sustainability.
We welcome all children from 6 months to school age.

- What age groups do you accept?
We welcome children from 6 months to 5 years old, with programs tailored for infants, toddlers, and Kinders.
- What are your operating hours?
Our centres are typically open Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
- How do I enrol my child?
You can start by booking a tour!
- What documents do I need for enrolment?
You’ll need: Completed enrolment form Child’s birth certificate Immunisation records Emergency contact details
- What is included in the daily fee?
Our fees cover: Nutritious meals and snacks Educational programs Learning materials Outdoor play and activities
- Are government subsidies available?
Yes, families may be eligible for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS).
- How does Kinder funding work?
This is credited to families on a weekly basis - if they decide to enrol their children into our 3yo and 4yo Pre-Prep Kinder program. (Not eligible if they also attend a sessional kinder)
- What safety measures do you have in place?
We follow strict health and safety protocols, including: Secure entry systems Regular cleaning and sanitization Staff trained in first aid and CPR
- How do you communicate with parents?
We currently use Xplor and StoryPark communication platform for any updates, photos, and messages.
- What is your curriculum?
Our curriculum is based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), focusing on play-based learning, social development, and school readiness.
