The Moreton Bay Colleges' Foundation Business Breakfast Series enable you to network, connect and engage with local business and industry representatives and support the development of strong partnerships between the college and broader community. Each breakfast event features prominent guest speakers, and the format allows plenty of time and opportunity for professional engagement. All proceeds from our breakfasts support the Moreton Bay Colleges' Foundation to invest in world-class facilities and educational opportunities for students.
For the first breakfast for 2023 we draw on the theme of Leadership with two panel speakers Dr Kay Danes and Grant Menzies.
- Dr Kay Danes OAM. (nee Stewart, MBC past student) was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for her service to the international and Australian community in human rights & social justice. Dane’s story is one of resilience, risks, international business, trouble shooting and negotiating, all key elements in business and leadership.
- Grant Menzies is a second-generation leader of Adina Watches. Generational business leaders play a pivotal role in professionalising the business and adapting business initiatives to ensure continued success. Grant has built on the legacy of the first generation and drives his team to continue delivering a high-quality product for his customers.
- This breakfast we also hear from Jessica Danes (MBC Class of 2002), daughter of Dr Kay Danes. Jessica is a project manager in the construction industry.
- Our MC, Brad Ralph is a seasoned business professional with over 30 years of experience in consulting, sales support, marketing, and management and a parent of MBBC.
