    Join the Friends of Grafton Gallery, and the Grafton Regional Gallery Curator, Professor Pedram Khosronejad for;

    TOURS with FRIENDS: June 

    Wednesday 12th June 2024

    10.30am - 12.30pm
    Morning tea is provided, catering by Friends of Grafton Gallery.

    Bookings are free but encouraged for catering.

    Donations are welcome on entry, and will directly go towards the 2024 Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing Award Prize.

    The Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing Award (JADA) celebrates Australian contemporary drawing at its finest.  


    This tour will focus on:

    A Printers Proof: The Fred Genis Collection

    Take a journey this June through the Grafton Regional Gallery to experience A PRINTER'S PROOF: The Fred Genis Collection

    A Printer's Proof celebrates the art of lithography, the special bond formed between artist and printer, and the remarkable life and legacy of Fred Genis. 

    During his forty-year career, master lithographer Fred Genis worked in the United States, Europe, and Australia, collaborating with leading artists from around the world. His working life spanned monumental eras in the 20th Century art including the American Abstract Expressionist movement of the 1960s and 1970s New York where he worked with artists such as Robert Rauschenberg, Willem De Kooning, Sam Francis, John Cage, and James Rosenquist.
