MOSAIC | An Evening with Violinist Eric Gratz
“Spellbinding” ~ San Antonio Express-News
MOSAIC is an eclectic and soulful evening of music for violin and piano, performed by international prizewinning soloist Eric Gratz with Eliot Goldmund. Explore a love triangle between composers (Brahms, Robert and Clara Schumann), fact and fiction (Fritz Kreisler and Gaetano Pugnani), and other fascinating connections.
Since his concerto debuts at the age of 14 in the United States, Spain, and Portugal, American violinist Eric Gratz has been celebrated as a thrilling performer, combining an old world style with a modern musical intellect. He has appeared as soloist/concertmaster with orchestras of Cleveland, Louisiana, Phoenix, San Antonio, and the Santa Fe Opera. Gratz is Director of the American Chamber Music Society in Chicago.
Hailed by The New York Times as “nimble” and “colorful,” Eliot Goldmund is a Korean-American pianist, composer, and conductor based in New York City.
MOSAIC features the music of Clara Schumann, Lili Boulanger, Ernest Bloch, Béla Bartók, Fritz Kreisler, Maurice Ravel, Johannes Brahms, Felix Mendelssohn, and others.
