Moth Night at the Bee Hub
Event description
Calling citizens scientists young and old, any experience level, for a relaxed, outdoor summer picnic tea and Moth Night in the beautiful Brownhill Creek/Wirraparinga valley.
Your hosts? The scientists from Ferox australis and Rossi from the Bee Hub.
There'll be:
- information about moths and other pollinators
- training to use the iNaturalist citizen science app
- honey tasting
- host-plant bundles to buy
- insect displays to look at
- friendly and knowledgeable people to chat with
When the sun goes down we'll put the screens up and the lights on, and you'll have a chance to observe moths and upload your observations to iNaturalist if you wish. This will also include a short guided nature hike through the surrounding Brownhill creek park.
A tasty picnic tea will be served individually. Be sure to let us know about any special dietary requirements.
